Jaco & Cath Maree
Jaco and Cath are a truly memorable couple. A burning love for Jesus and for people set them apart; they have a knack for connecting with people in moments. They met and married while both teachers in Durban, South Africa. Their passion for God drew them to become elders at His Church, Pinetown, study at Bible School and to take part in church plants in Africa and Europe, finally planting their own church in British Virgin Islands. It was also here that they began to hear a calling to move to Canada. This huge adjustment 6 years ago called on Cath’s life-giving optimism, Jaco’s willingness to learn and God’s immense grace and faithfulness. They ‘give their all’ to the Red Hill Church, with their children Julia and Levi. They are committed to being a reflection of Jesus, who came to save and not to condemn.
Philip & Linda Morkel
Durban, South Africa is well known for its warm and friendly people and Linda and Phil are no exception. In 2004 they immigrated to Canada with their children, Jessica and John after being involved in a local church community for over thirty years. They joined Redhill Church as they believe that it is essential to be part of a local church. We love seeing people from every nation, tribe and tongue come into a relationship with Christ and join a family. We find it fulfilling to help people walk into to their God given destiny. We take joy in knowing God has chosen men and woman that others may have overlooked to fulfill His purposes and those He calls He qualifies and equips.
Erick & Kayla Olazabal
Erick and Kayla are a dynamic young couple that are involved in many aspects of the community. They lead the young adults group and are involved in virtually everything happening at the church. Erick preaches regularly and you can listen to him on our “sermons” page. Kayla is also involved in managing the Valiant Coffee Shop and is always enthusiastic and engaging. We are very pleased to have them as part of our elders team.
